Using our gifts, interests and skills to create a lifestyle that reflects our adoration of the Glory of God; we've been blessed to pursue a number of unique heritage skills and interesting arts. We carve cast off wood with chainsaws for signs, garden art and home decor; harvest angora rabbit fiber and heritage breed sheep wool; wash, dry, pick, and dye it here, card it into beautiful, creative fiber batts, then spin it into luxurious yarns that are crocheted, knit, felted or woven into one-of-a-kind pieces. Additionally, we photograph the joys of life and creation to make cards or 'Old Fashioned Texts'! These items have been skillfully handcrafted by Dad, Mom and our three young entrepreneurs, look in our Mercantile for your newest addition.

"And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands..." 1Thessalonians 4:11
Spinning is such a soothing, quiet joy and we've been led to pursue fiber animals as a focus for our animal husbandry. We took a break from rearing animals for several years and we're thankful to again be able to share our lives with a 'pint-sized' herd. We have pictures of many that have gone to new, attentive homes and the small numbers we now enjoy. Each animal offers it's own unique benefits and is diligently attended in a natural, loving manner, as the Bible dictates. We work hard to offer our animals a wonderful life and our customers the finest fibers and quality creations.

We continually labor to naturally build our soil fertility by employing sustainable agriculture methods. For more productive heirloom gardens we've built HugelKultur beds and mimic the example of forest floor fertility with natural mulch like the Back to Eden method; each endeavor harmonizing with another to supply our family with wholesome, organic produce and herbs. We've also been using and continuing to study how herbs naturally support our wellness and that of our animals. The animals thoroughly enjoy the herbal variety, are fantastic instant composters and support our soil amending with complete abandon!
