We so thoroughly enjoyed all the aspects of the Evergreen State Fair and Mom took a lot of pictures. We have been busy with school, as well as washing and dyeing fiber to prep for the upcoming change of seasons and events....
To coordinate with our current tasks, we want to share with you peeks at pioneer kitchens, schools and crafts; thanks to the stuffed-to-the-brim museum, rich with historical artifacts.

Mom dreams of pioneer cooking, complete with wood burning cook stove - in fact she's thought warmly of that centerpiece of early home life for YEARS. This past weekend, the Lord blessed her with that very piece - our own wood cook stove! The older stove was from an estate that had been in a dry storage facility. For all the years she's been looking, never has there been seen, even in disrepair, a wood cook stove at their asking price. These types of blessings truly only come from the Lord and patiently waiting for his perfect timing, that often isn't the same as our own. Pictures to come later...when it is in it's place and put back together....stay tuned!
In all things remember, although we are grateful for the tender care and special blessings of our heavenly Father, we look forward, most earnestly, for what Jesus Christ has promised to come:
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 2Peter 3:13-14
