Today we're pleased to share a dear 'Prairie Girls' friends' homespun yarn made from several of the Trickle Creek Fiber Batts. She was ever-so creative, plying them on themselves and other solid fibers to create quite the 'earthy' variety from a few similar batts~ Isn't her work beautiful?!
She loves the ease in which she spun it up and praised the softness of the fiber blend. 'It feels so nice and it's so easy to spin!' She enjoys using her Ashford 'Traveler' spinning wheel that is quite portable and versatile with the double drive enhancement. Originally purchased as a birthday gift, by her hubby, from 'Aunty Lyn', she's learned to get creative amongst roving, curious young-ins' by creating a 'spin cage' to keep little fingers from the fast moving wheel.

Heather first introduced us to herbs, quality foods, spinning and even her tales (tails?) of raising angoras, years ago! Friendships like these are a gift of the Lord and I hope her eager, honest giving of time and experience will continue 'paying it forward', or what we see as 'blessing others' for years to come. That's why we share as well ~ to stir your hearts in glorious praise while you seek the simple pleasures of working with your hands to create beauty from humble beginnings.
Thank you Heather, for sharing a little taste of life on your homestead and your latest creations from Trickle Creek Fibers!
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Colossians 3:23
